- Referees can’t upload existing reference letters, they will be asked to complete a short form to provide a reference
- You should include your referees name, position and institutional email address in the relevant section of the form

- If your referee can’t find this email please ask them to check their spam/junk/promotions folder

A motivation letter must be added to your application.

One of the most important parts of your application is the motivation letter. Its goal is to introduce your background and support your application. In short, its goal is to answer the question:
“Why are you a suitable candidate?”

Write in a clear and logical manner: remember, the way you write and present yourself says a lot about you. Do not plagiarize as this will mean automatic disqualification from the evaluation process.

Some points that may help you answer this question:

• Why have I chosen to apply to this programme?
• What do I expect to gain from my studies?
• Why does my academic and personal background make me a suitable candidate for this programme and for Koç University (potential for success, demonstrated qualities and skills)?
• Why is Koç University a good choice for me as an individual?

Conditions of Acceptance:

• A letter grade of C or above for the courses INDR 201, INDR 202, INDR 252, INDR 262

• A minimum GPA of 3.0 for the courses INDR 201, INDR 202, INDR 252, INDR 262

• A minimum CGPA of 3.3

• A minimum score of 75 in ALES (in numerical part)

• Minimum scores indicated for the exams in the table:

- Internet-Based TOEFL: Minimum Score 80 (Exams taken in Turkey must be carried out at the State Universities.)

- YDS/e-YDS/YOKDIL: 80

Candidates who meet the minimum criteria listed above are accepted directly to the INDR Non-Thesis MSc Program.

For the acceptance of the candidates who do not meet the criteria, program committee members decide according to general evaluation and interview.

Acceptance conditions for other departments’ students of Koc University:

• A letter grade of C or above for the courses INDR 201, INDR 202, INDR 252, INDR 262

Program committee members examine the application files of candidates who meet the minimum criteria listed above.

According to the evaluation, the candidate is invited for an interview if he/she has the potential to be accepted. After interviewing the candidate, program committee members make the final decision about his/her acceptance.
